Going nuts here -

I'm building a report. In the query, it sorts everything correctly.

On the report design, I have the following set up:

Report Header
Page Header
Mtitle Header (Main title)
Stitle Header (subtitle)
Detail (sorted by ID number)

On the Group/Sort/Total set up, I have:

1. group on Mtitle
sort by ID number
group on Stitle

The probem with this set up is I am viewing the report that lists the Stitle each time the ID is listed.

It's supposed to look like this:

Main Title
Subtitle
(group of ID listed here)
Subtitle
Detail (group of sorted ID listed here)
Subtitle
Detail (group of sorted ID listed here)
Main Title
Subtitle
Detail (group of sorted ID listed here)
so on.....

SMH - tried to figure this out but after I posted my question, I poked around the design view and figured it out.

I moved the Stitle field in the Detail and in the property sheet, I changed Hide Duplicates to YES.

Apparently it works now.

spoke too early.

It went back to repeat the subtitle.

**EDITED***

It works now (I'm not sure what happened but I saved the work and it's doing what it should)

However, the following rows with hidden duplicates (Stitle) is bigger than it should. I wish there was a way to make the rows closer to each other but it's not because the field is still there (although hidden).

remove group on Stitle and replace it with a subreport.

That was my plan. I was hoping to avoid having another objects in the navigation bar but I guess I'll need to do that to keep the reports looking nice.

Thanks!
