When my users enter a due date, they never mean that they want the thing delivered at 12AM. It's usually close of business. So if a user enters 07/29/2019 I would like the time to default to 5:00 PM. Is that possible?

I have the date/time field formatted to show the time, so they currently need to manually change the time if they do not specify at time of entry (and they never specify the time during entry).

In the AfterUpdate event of the control, you could try checking if a time was provided. If not, change 12AM to 5PM.
