I have a little of know about CS and programming (but trying to read more as i can) and i hit something while i am reading a book by C. J. Date, called "Relational Theory for Computer professionals" when he talked about Relvar definition (i know this concept "Relvar" introduced by the write in 1995) he mentioned there is Relvar Kind and Relvar Type (data type or date structure), what the writer mean by Relvar kind because i searched for it with no luck.

"Kind" just refers to whether a relvar is base (table), virtual (view) or a snapshot (materialized view).
