I apologize for how ignorant this question may seem, but I can't help but wonder:

To those that celebrate the holiday season that don't live in the Northern hemisphere - are holiday songs that speak of a "White Christmas" and wish for snow at christmas-time popular where you live?

Thanks Rick, was a sad Christmas for my family as my brother in-law died of a massive heart attack while driving with my sister to go visit friends so we didn't celebrate much.

oh Glen, no. i'm so sorry to hear that. it's not much help, especially from a near-stranger, but my thoughts and prayers are with your sister, and your family, and her husband's family. tina

Very sorry to hear that, Glen. I understand that for some reason, Christmas Eve is a very high risk time for heart attacks. I don't think anyone really knows why since it seems like a strange correlation.
Stay close to your sister, she will need you now.

Sorry to hear about your brother-in-law Glen. My family did not fair well either. My mother passed away on Dec 29th. I have been very sad. My family has been distant the last few years as my mother who was the rock of things had develop Alzheimer's a few years back. It has been hard for me the last week or so. I just got back to work from our two week break. It is good to be back as things are busy and it has helped me cope some today.
