When I run the code below it creates a table named "LPArchive2018" that is linked to the source table "LPCurrent".
I don't want a linked table and don't understand why it is linked to the Source table in the same location?

CODE
DoCmd.TransferDatabase acExport,"Microsoft Access","E:\LPBE\LPCurrent_be.accdb",acTable, "LPCurrent","LPArchive2018",false

My goal is to create new tables that contain this years records for the purpose of archiving data. Is the TransferDatabase the right tool?

Thank you

Hi,

Apparently, not for your situation. The TransferDatabase method creates a copy of an object into another database. If the table you’re copying is a Linked table, then you also get a linked table as a copy. If you want to convert a linked table into a local table, then you could try using a Make-Table query.
