I got a Lenovo T430 laptop with Windows 10 Prof. 64 bit. As far as I can tell the webcam is working. I tried to set up facial recognition with windows hello but it says it's not available on my laptop. I already got facial recognition working on my galaxy phone. I thought it would be great if I can lock and unlock and login with facial recognition on my laptop. Why is it not available on my laptop? Am I doing something wrong? Are there any specific requirements for this? Thanks Heine |

I could be wrong but if you get a notification that Windows Hello is not available, then it probably means your device is not compatible with Windows Hello. I think only certain types of cameras can work with Windows Hello. Does your laptop have a fingerprint scanner? -------------------- Just my 2 cents... Of course, further research might turn up something more on their website. -------------------- My Real Name Is George. Grover Park Consulting is where I did business for 20 years. When I googled the requirements for facial recognition under windows hello it said that you need a near infrared 3d camera. Now I understand why it doesn't work on my laptop. Yes you are right. The laptop came with windows 7 but I upgraded it to windows 10. Heine |
