I am currently making a search function for customer information in a database, and can see a future need for an advanced search.
Right now I will give the users a small number of parameters to search with such as Customer Name, Customer Number, Machine Number.
This search will cover most cases, but what would be the best way to go about setting up an advanced search where they can search using all fields in the table?
A couple ways I can think of doing this is to simply make a second query that will use criteria based on another form with all the fields in it.
Another is to find and replace the table name in the SQL code using VBA, however this seems like a lot of work.
Does anyone have a better suggestion?
