Hi guys,
I am running a query to make a table from 2 different tables
The customer is the joining field.
In the Ea table I have 336 records in SA table 173 records. in the temp table I trying to have all the information from the EA table with the additional information from the SA table. I have 500 records instead of 336.
Thanks in advance

Hi: You have set up a one-to-many relationship with customer. So, for a customer record in EA there can be multiple same customer records in SA. This causes the total count to use multiple results for selected (duplicated) EA records. So, how did you want to solve this? Did you want to make just one record in SA for each customer number? Or did you want to link on multiple fields so that there is always a one-to-one relationship, say, on the delivery date? If you use delivery date, the delivery date will have to be re-formatted in EA to match.

I assumed customer and delivery date links. So I re-formatted the EA delivery date in a query, then created a new query ...

qryNewCombinations

... and got 336 records as a result. If this is what you need, you can convert this to a make-table, or simply use the query instead of the created table, which would probably be a better way.

(Oh, and a hint on attached dbs: Compact it first then zip it. When I did that it reduced the posted zip file from almost 2MB - the limit here - to a much more reasonable size - about 63k.)
