Posts: 296 Joined: 27-February 06 From: Long Beach CA ![]() | Typing name parts into several text boxes takes time. If a clerk had to type in several names, the amount of work is multiplied. The challenge is for a program to automatically parse each name into its constituent parts (Salutation, First Name, Middle Name(s), Last Name, Suffix, and Nickname) for input into a database. This tutorial will show the programmer how the VBA programming code logic systematically parses a full name. Most names will be parsed correctly. Note: This works mostly for Western (particularly English language) name formats, although with modification the principle may be applied to other name formats. Attached File(s) |
