Hi, I created a basic database file which uses links via ODCB to password protected tables that house data for Maximo. Does everyone who uses this access file also need passwords to these tables? I'd like to put a read only version out where users can run queries and reports that I have created. Any ideas?

Yes, that is exactly why someone put passwords on the data.

I probably should elaborate.

Depending on how those passwords were set up, your users may or may not need their own, unique, passwords. There may be a way to design the permissions so that members of a group all connect through that same group permissions.

What you could di is have a master user with ODBC access take copies of the Maximo tables into local database tables so that all users can work with the copies. It depends whether you need live Maximo data, or whether a daily or weekly extract is sufficient.
