Hi! I am a newbie. I was asked by a team member, who is using Microsoft Teams (in Office 365), whether there there is any interoperability with MS Access?
Thanks!

Welcome to UtterAccess.

What would be the purpose? Teams is, as I understand it, a collaboration tool. Access is a database development tool. Where would they intersect? To what end?

I can see, perhaps, if the idea is to use data stored in an Access ACE database for some purpose, but what would that look like for your users?

Thanks for responding. I will ask my associate tomorrow morning exactly what they need.

We are using Office 365 (particularly Teams and Planner) to track and run projects. We would like to include Access in our tracking. I notice that 365 apps include everything but Access (they include Outlook, word, Powerpoint, OneDrive, Excel, etc, etc). It seems that Access is the only app from the MS office suite missing. Is that correct? Do you know why?

Thanks!
Linda

So far as I know, Access is part of most Office 365 options. Which one do you have?

Also note that Access will always be desktop only, unlike some of the other apps that do have browser versions.

What do you mean "...include Access in our tracking...."? You want USE Access itself? Or do you want TRACK usage of Access? Or something else?

Hi Linda,

I am still not clear on what you are asking?
I have Teams, I even had it open when reading your message. I am struggling to see what integration you are saying Teams has with Word, Excel etc?
Can you give some specific functionality using Word or Excel that you want to also do with Access?
