Hope everyone is well and staying sane at this time.

I seem to be blanking out on how to format or set up code for a field in a form so that when you click on an email address, it opens Outlook and puts the address in the to, similar to when you click on an email address in Excel that seems to do that automatically.

I know there is stuff out there, but cannot seem to follow what they are saying.

Please assist.

Leah

You can set it up as a hyperlink

You can use FollowHyperlink()
CODE
FollowHyperlink("mailto://someone@somewhere.com")

CODE
FollowHyperlink("mailto://" & Me.YourEmilAddressControlName)

You can use SendObject()
CODE
Docmd.SendObject acSendNoObject, , , "someone@somewhere.com", , , , , True

CODE
Docmd.SendObject acSendNoObject, , , Me.YourEmilAddressControlName, , , , , True

You can also get into Outlook automation

I used FollowHyperlink("mailto://" & Me.YourEmilAddressControlName) and it worked perfectly.

Thanks
