> How To Force Delete Or Move An Ms Access Adp Database File?, Access 2010

Good Morning All,

I am trying to replace my old MS Access adp file that has a SQL Server backend with a newly designed MS Access .accdb database.

My end users use the database on a daily basis and I was required to place my new database in Production since 02/01/2017 which was day before yesterday.

I am unable to delete or move my old *.adp MS Access database file because I keep getting an error (attached screenshot) that states "This action can't be completed because the file is open in another program."

The problem is there are some users (out of 50 users) that either may have the old database file open or are still using this old version.

Is there any way to force delete this file so that my users can only see the new *.accdb MS access database file?

I have tried to use the unlocker tool to delete this file but was unsuccessful.

Any advise is greatly appreciated.

One somewhat drastic approach may be to reboot the server and try deleting it before anyone else has a chance to log in.
