Dear All,
Its been a long time i have been here. Lot of things changed and my database that worked the last 3 years, is replaced by a web based alternative.
Thx for all the help of you guys here on this site, I think its time to give something back to the once who like to analyse a bit.
i am willing to put the empty database 90 mb available for all who wants to use it.
Maybe anyone an idea how the best way to share this over this site with some users.
I have a dropbox account , but not sure if i can put it in , and am allowed to put the URL in the topic.
Dummy
I wouldnt mind taking a look at this if the offer still stands.
Im in the early stages of creating an ERP for a manufacturing company
It seems to me to be a very interesting topic and I would be happy to look at it.
If you publish it, I will be attentive.
Greetings >> JTJ
I too have been developing some db's like this one and would love to see yours. I hope you do consent to publish it. I think quite a few of us can learn from it.
Regards
Wow and ERP system built in MS Access, I'm super impressed and would love to have a look. Thanks in advance.
Hi dummy2,
I am interested if you can share your empty db so i can learn from it.
Hello Dummy2: Have you posted on any site link?
I usually use free Mediafire and up to 12 or 15 GB I do not have any problems.
In my case I am not guided by any commercial interest, since I do not dedicate myself to it, but to my "many years" I like to keep learning and it is a beautiful subject to do it.
Best regards >> Jacinto
I wouldn't think that the Admins here would have an issue within a link if you are providing a learning resource. That said, did you try adding it to the Code Archive?
I am also interested :-)
Sounds like a lot for an Access database - I can see why it would be 90 MB empty.
I am interested, too. Can you send me the link please?
That will be great, it's will be good to look at production project that handle real life situation.
Hello, how are you ?
Any status on this subject?
Do you have any information on how long the conversion took and how much it cost vs how long and how much for the original application?
One of my apps was converted to the web. It originally took four months to design and build so it cost the client $60,000. The replacement took two years using several people so do the math. And they were starting with a normalized schema and a working code base to use as a model. The first thing they actually did was to denormalize the schema????
I am interested to see how you put this DB into action... It sounds like the fate of my database too that I spent time on only to be over taken by Oracle. Could you send me the link please?
