I've been working with VBA for many years and this has never happened - don't know what I did wrong, but my code window, which usually takes up most of the right side of my screen, now is being sized in conjunction with project explorer - don't know if that's the best way to explain it, but when I select the bottom border of project explorer in my VBE window and drag it down, my code window top border moves with it, instead of taking up the majority of the right side of my screen - and I'm not a big Immediate window user, so that's either usually gone, or just a small strip at the bottom - I've spent hours trying to get it back to my usual view, and nothing works - any ideas ?

If you left click and hold at the top where it says Project - VBAProject , you can move that window around. drag it down and to the left corner.
You can also right click in the window and click on dockable.

In the VBE, click Tools ...Options ..Docking.
There are 6 items. I have all 6 ticked.

You MAY need to untick an object, move it to roughly where you want & re-tick to dock it again
