I've used the wizard to generate a report that groups records by quarter. The default coding for the quarter is:
=Format$([MyDate],"Qq yyyy",0,0)
which returns Q1 2008 for the period 1/1/2008 thru 3/31/2008.
I would like Q1 to begin July 1 and have tried to adjust the "0,0" part of the above code, to no avail. Unfortunately, onboard help is no help.
Would someone tell me how to make the changes needed?
Thanks - Mike

Unfortunately, I have never used the Q designator for quarters. I have always just figured it out myself. Our quarters start on October 1. In your case, I would have done this using my method.
!--c1-->
CODE
=Iif(Month([MyDate]) Between 7 And 9, 1, Iif(Month([MyDate]) Between 10 And 12, 2, Iif(Month([MyDate]) Between 1 And 3, 3, 4)))

Thanks Greg. That appears to fit the bill.

Hi Alan,

Our fiscal year also starts in October, and I use this one:
CODE
=Format(DateAdd("m",3,[DateField]),"\Qq yyyy")

Just my 2 cents... :2cents:

I definitely need this, but I'm not sure where I'd use this code.
