Hello everyone, my name is Maurizio
And my new problem is this:

I inside an Access Mask insert a CommandButton
Now what I would like to achieve would be to manage to open a video file that I have in my sub folder of my project.

I remember when I used to
(Excel) I used this technique to open all sorts of files:

CODE
Function Due ()
On Error Resume Next
Dim X As Long
X =
ShellExecute (hWnd, "Open", _
ThisWorkbook.Path & "\ Utility \ CalendarioWindVista.exe", vbNullString, vbNullString, SW_NORMAL)
End Function

How can I get all this with Access Thanks too
Greetings from Maurizio

Why not simply
CODE
Application.FollowHyperlink Application.CurrentProject.Path & "\YourSubfolder\YourFileNameAndExtension"

You can also look over https://www.devhut.net/2020/04/30/vba-openi...files-and-URLs/ which covers a couple other techniques.

Thanks Infinite Sig:
DanielPineault
The link he offered me is a really nice site, I will definitely make good use of it
Thank you for still dedicating me your precious time.

But if I'm not too intrusive, could you please solve this problem again?
Which is this:
With the help of a button placed on an Access mask From routine I open an Exe file that I have in my sub folder.
And so far so good!
Now, however, I would like to insert a code that expires ten seconds after the start of this video
The video itself closes automatically
Therefore that you know there is this possibility
(P.S) I don't want all the listing but type the code to close the Exe file
As I have tried with (Exit) or (Quit) but I have not been able to do anything good.
All here Thanks!

I'm not too sure, you'll probably need to Kill the task/exe itself. But why would you need to open and then kill a process? Seems very odd.

Not at all
DanielPineault
as this procedure would be useful for opening an external exe file; Which already happens very well.

But then I'd like that in Automatic; That is, after having spent a cycle of 10/15 seconds. This file could be closed by itself.
That's all !

But since I am always the author of this Exe file
I'm trying to madify it again using VB6.0
In doing so once everything is done again; By internal code It closes itself.
Now all I have to do is make it Executable again
Get it from a new program like Access and you're done.

Thanks anyway for your interest
Greetings from Maurizio

(P.S) The exe file that I am reconstructing from scratch, is nothing more than an Analog Clock and a Seven-Light Luminous Clock.
To be recalled as an Exe File from a yuyyo Access Mask here!

Hello everyone and good evening

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
De ningún modo
DanielPineault

Ciao a Tutti e Buona Serta
