Does anyone have any suggestions for a preferably free VBScript debugger.

Just something that can set breakpoints and check variable values easily.

VBSEdit has $59 tag and free trial. https://www.vbsedit.com/

I just installed it for evaluation and it said the trial never expires. Not sure what limitations are associated with trial.

Attachments Manager is below the edit post window. To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Visual Studio includes the ability to debug vbscript files.

And as far as I know, the free edition of visual studio has all features of the full pop corporate edition with the exception of some Team foundation source code, and 1 or 2 other features I can't remember.

I can be a bit tricky to get the setup working, but once done, it gives you a nice setup.

You can set breakpoints, single step. And the keys used to single step are the same ones used in VBA.

It been some time, but you also get intel-sense when you do this.

There are a number of people who warn that using VS for this is not all that great. However, I used it for some rather long and complex vbscripts, and it was rather nice.

So, I guess I can only state that VS is a free choice.
