If I don't use Access for a period of time, when I try to run it, I get messages like these indicating that Office 2007 is reinstalling Access.

Attached File  Access_20190921_2255_Windows_installer_01.jpg ( 11.7K )Number of downloads: 0

It will then run normally for awhile.

Can anyone tell me what might be wrong?

This is on the XP system.

Windows XP and Access 2007. Do you have another version of Office (newer?) installed on that computer? Is Access the only 2007 version application from the Office suite on this computer?

That may be it. I have a new Win 10 machine and am in the process of upgrading everything to Office 365. So we installed a copy of that so I could get email from my new outlook.com account.

So I guess I just have to live with it until I can phase the old XP machine out.

I have Outlook 365, but not the entire Office 365 suite. I have the complete Office 2007 suite installed and running.

Every time you run the newer version of any Office application (to include Outlook) Access 2007 then needs to reinstall itself when you next open it. It's been a long-time "feature" of Office/Access.

It's not even close to the worst "feature" of Office products. pullhair.gif
