I had the autonumber property for my records set to increment. after replicating the database the property was changed to random. is there any way to keep the property set to increment.? otherwise, is there a way to do this in a multi user environment without replicating.?

You don't need to use replication for Access to work in a multi-user environment. If you are running on a LAN, search for spliting a database into a Front End (FE) and Back End (BE).
ow, if you truly need replication, I created a two field key. The first field being a long integer, that I increment myself and the second field is a plant number. That way, when I synchronize the databases, everything is keyed correctly.
I hope this helps.
