Hello to the forum.
After reading MS page Here on ZOrder.

Tried to use report picture properties to create a watermark.
All works as described for the main report page.
But I have subforms ..... all are set to backstyle, borderstyle, gridlinestyle = transparent.
Cannot get the subforms to be at the bottom of the stack to get watermark on top (this is a transparent background .png)

So tried adding an image control and put at 'front'/'top' with same result.
Tried image on subforms and that works as expected ... but is completely out of phase with any image on main page.

Is there a way to get a single image (per page) as a watermark over subforms ?

Currently reverted to old 'round Mulberry bush' method by adding watermark in IrfanView ..... works, but takes a while!

A single watermark image cannot span across multiple subforms in design mode.

Perhaps splitting the watermark image into multiple images and puttng the pieces into the subforms will solve your problem?

Or print the entire watermark image on a dummy main form and then print the report that has the subforms on top?
