I am entering data in form view, however, though the calculating field on the form generates the expected number, but it does'nt appear in Datasheet view.
All the other fields work as expected.
Any help truly appreciated.

if i understand correctly, you have a control on a form that displays a calculated value - that is, the control's ControlSource property is set to an expression, such as

=1+1

if the above is accurate, is the control in the Detail section of the form? or is it in the header or footer section instead?

Thank you for the response.
The input field is in the body of the form. I created another calculating field in the table with a corresponding field on the form. That seems to be working. Thank you again.
